A smooth journey to 2020 - The Gaugan AI Contest on Steemit-Week 10
After my first attempt of the Nvidia GauGAN art tool to create an entry to @steemean's contest, I am back with my second attempt. I included a quick tutorial last week for anyone who wants to give this a try too :) It really is fun and easy!
At the Nvidia GauGAN beta tool, I clicked on the middle arrow to get this screen:
I was trying to select a different photo (I was aiming for the second landscape with a road) but it did not work out.
But nevermind, I will draw my way into it :D As it is a new year soon, I would like to think of a road leading to endless possibilities that will bring us to greater success and sceneries in this coming new year.
First, I chose Plant > Grass and using the bucket of paint icon, I filled up the entire bottom half, converting the sea into grass.
Next, I changed to the paintbrush icon and chose Ground > Road (in brown colour) and added the road in perspective mode:
Notice how the grass changed accordingly to where the road was added. This is AI at work :)
I overdrew the road in the middle, so this time, I wanted to correct the road to become sky again by painting Landscape > Sky across the earlier drawn road:
I added more elements:
- Landscape > Clouds
- Landscape > Mountain
This is a smooth sailing road, no mountain will stop us from making this journey.
I added more clouds and added some Plants > Flowers too:

There are definitely limitations to the elements that can be chosen from this tool like how @drakernoise pointed out in his drawing this week, but that is why it is at a beta stage I guess. It is a cool idea for sure. Maybe soon, they will add more elements :)
