Christmas - A time to meet and thank for the blessings received throughout the year
It's December and Christmas is here
The Christmas
I'm going to talk about several things that we have as a family ritual every year:
- Place the electric Christmas tree.
- Prepare the table.
- Ham Bread - Hallacas - Cakes and Biscuits.
- Pumpkin Punch.
- Chicken Salad and Stuffed Chicken.
- New Year's Eve Dinner.
Placing the Electric Christmas Tree
When I was a kid mom bought an electric 30 cm tree, maybe that wasn't the huge Christmas tree I wanted but I knew how to appreciate that little object in our kitchen for many years. I remember that I was staring at that little Christmas tree because I loved its lights and its movement (the tree had its own lights and turned on its own axis, it's electric), I promise that in a future publication I will show you this tree by photo or video.
Preparing the Table
Every year we have as a family custom to repair the Christmas table, is a ritual that my mother did for us when we were children. On the table we put fruits, cereals, grains, biscuits and cakes (when possible). Now the Christmas table is not for me because I am no longer a child, but my nieces now have their moment to enjoy it just as I did!
Ham Bread - Hallacas - Cakes and Biscuits
I love cooking, I love cooking and I believe that I am a chef ajajajaja, every year and not just during this Christmas season I am cooking and preparing my favorite recipes. Black cake (Christmas) is one of my specialties, it's a cake made with a base of raisins and liquor. Cookies are my favorite sandwiches, I love making cookies and much more in this season, I remember that relatives always came to eat my cookies because they were always very good! The Ham Bread is one of my specialties, poff I am brutal, I learned to make the Ham Bread almost on my own and I must emphasize that I look better every time! The Panettones are a bit laborious, because their mace needs a certain technique at the time of their preparation, they look very good to me and poff the ones of chocolate look wonderful to me! The hallacas are my favorite dish previously we ate hallacas from November but due to the crisis that we live to make hallacas in these moments is almost that a total achievement. I spend my time making every recipe I see, always trying to look for alternatives to this disgusting crisis.
Pumpkin Punch
My mother has a very good recipe to make some very good pumpkin punch, she has been preparing this recipe for some years now, it should be noted that it causes intoxication with this punch poff is very good and the flavor is extraordinary.
Chicken Salad and Stuffed Chicken
The chicken salad can not miss in our dinners and not to mention the chicken stuffed, my mother is responsible for making these dishes, since I am a child I can remember how my mother traditionally prepares these Christmas dishes with the greatest love and care. The salad is always delicious I repeat as 4 times followed ha ha ha ha ha (I do not lie) and with the chicken is the same, is that they are very good and not to take advantage ha ha ha ha ha. Eating is my favorite part of these festivities!
New Year's Eve Dinner
The New Year's Eve dinner is the most emotional moment of all this festivity, we usually thank and thank God, Life, the Universe and everything responsible for good things happening to us! The Christmas dinner is special for me, because I am with my mother and I can still enjoy it together with my mother. These years have been very hard that is everyone's knowledge, however I am very grateful for each experience and for each learning that has given me this year.
