This is my first participation in the weekly Macro Photography Competition sponsored by @sultan-aceh and @xpilar for the World of Xpilar Community. For those who want to join this challenge, here is the link Macro Photography Competition
A few days ago while visiting my mother, I had the opportunity to observe some tiny flowers of intense yellow color located in the planters on the first floor where she resides, and as I approached them to photograph them, I was surprised by the presence of a green insect flying from flower to flower, perching on them long enough to capture it with my smartphone as it seemed to feed.
Later, when I returned home, I did a Google search for the images, and I found matches for the insect and the flowers, which I will describe below.
The Augochlora pura is a solitary sweat bee found primarily in the eastern United States. It is characterized by its bright green color and tendency to forage on a wide variety of plants.
When inhabiting rotting logs, this bee can reproduce up to three times a year. Both males and females have been observed to lick sweat from human skin, probably in search of salt.

The Sphagneticola trilobata, commonly known as the Bay of Biscay creeping daisy, Singapore daisy, creeping daisy or wedelia, is a species of herbaceous plant belonging to the asteraceae (sunflower) family. It is native to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, but now grows throughout the Neotropics.
It is widely cultivated as an ornamental ground cover and is considered an invasive species in the islands of the Pacific Ocean and in Europe.
