Taming/// The Adventure Begins
After trapping 5 kittens, the work begins in the taming. A first for me. I have a little experience since raising my cat Dexter when he was just 4 weeks old. But he was easy, being younger, these 5 are over 10 weeks with no human contact. I was spoiled with the 1st kitten Patty ( named after kidnapped victim Patty Hearst), pretty much tamed up after 2-1/2 days. #2 kitten Tina (named after the talking Tina doll in a twilight zone episode), is about 75% tame, but can still hiss. The #3 is a most beautiful tuxedo kitten, but unfortunately I screwed up big time with her. I had left her cage open by mistake, she and tame Patty stayed out all night on my 18x8 foot porch. No big deal. Then I thought I wasn't going to be able to tame her out of the cage, (I think she's a girl), so I grabbed her. Big mistake, got bit good on left index finger. My fingers ok, but poor little Tuxedo got traumatized. #4 is in with Tina, all black. Thinking of calling her Black Betty, Farina or Buckwheat (after the little rascal's kid).

By the way yesterday was the first day for the mama cat (Scary Mary), named because she scares me 
to be without any kitten to take care of. She was by my door till dark last night and today after breakfast at 5:30 she went to sleep under a cool bush until just after 4pm. This must have been her first long rest since having her litter over 10 weeks ago. A very well deserved rest.
Wish me luck. Tomorrow I attempted to trap mama cat and take in to be spayed. I'll up date this unending story (I hope not) in the near future.
Hey, how many cats do you have ? It's good to see you de-sex them too.
I have 7, brothers larry and curly 10 yrs old....dexter 7 yrs. then I rescued a mama cat and her 3 kittens 4 yrs ago. Now I'm feeding the outside mama cat and her 5 kittens on my porch. That makes 13. YIKES!
Oh my lookat these little tails. Very aforable though i do not envy you! Good luck with the kittens though! 😉

That's so good of you to go to all that trouble. I hope you can catch the mother cat too. all the best with the kittens. They are adorable.

I love your update. You are doing a great job and I am proud of you. I love all of the names you picked out, but that is a big mistake because when you name them you get too attached. I love Tuxedo's! You have a tough job because of their age but you already know that. Patience and it will happen! FYI...I couldn't wait any longer to vote and I am only worth 3 cents! :(
That's me too 3 cents is our 100% power. I think the powers that be in steemit are working on improving that.
