SCARY MARY / SAFE From COLD
Extreme cold weather here in Manorville, L.I., NY. Last seven days has not gotten above freezing with temperature in the single digits Fahrenheit, -14 Celsius at night. Below freezing temperatures expected for the next 7 days, some not getting above the middle teens Fahrenheit.
This does not far well for outside domestic animals. The feral cat population is going to be in big trouble in my opinion. That's why I decided to bring my outside cat Scary Mary into my basement 3 days ago for warmth.
The outside shelter with heating pad is not going to be enough. So far things are working great. She is content to be in the basement and using the litter box. My 7 house cats and her 3 babies know she is downstairs, but is taking it in stride. The older cats are a bit confused by not being able to go down stairs where their litter boxes are. They have their boxes on the front porch now.

Aw, she is very grateful and so am I. She looks like she is a talker. Is she going to be reunited with her 3 babies?

She is a beautiful cat I love her nose.
Why are the other cats not going downside? Are the scared of the Scary Mary or the stairs? lol
Use the #caturday in the future as well. I think these nice photos deserve it to be there :)
She is an outside feral/stray that would not fit in with my older cats. Cats are very territorial and would fight.

Scary Mary got her name because she scares me. She bit me in the heel of the foot and scratched me. She is much better now, but still can not be trusted with other cats.
When the weather gets warmer out she goes.
Hhhh we had a cat like her before. She was hitting all the cats at home :) She had a problem with a kitten and they were fighting all the day. Was really crazy!
I was reading the other post. Thats a full family history :) Now they are big cats !
She is a good cat don't get me wrong. But would take a lot of time and patience for my 7 house cats to accept her.
I know :) All cats are good and I adore them, but they are like humans with different characters. The cat that we have is there for about a year, but still fighting. But to humans she is veryyyyy nice and loving. Actually over loving that we run away once we see her coming lol

She looks very grateful and happy @manorvillemike indeed I was thinking the same thing last night for all animals the winds are brutal and the air sooo cold its going to be tough on them.
Tough on wild animals all.
