ORNAMENTAL BIRD //

The Peafowl, better know as the Peacook is the ultimate ornamental bird. Originating in India and parts of Asia.

Males have lavage iridescent metallic plumage of blue and green. Long tail feathers called trains that can be 7 feet long. These trains can be raised in an elaborate display to impress the females.

These ornamental birds can be found in zoos around the world as well as on private farms. This one was at a private residence in Hicksville Long Island.

    In fact, I prefer the white peacock. It may be that the green peacock has seen more. It seems to be a beautiful time to see the white peacock!
