MOST POPULATED CITY
That would be Chongqing, formerly Chungking in China. It has a population of 30 million, over an area the size of Austria. Of the other 3 large municipalities like Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin, Chonging is the only one located off the coast in the upper Yangtze river basin.

The city is divided into 38 subdivisions.
The city is built where the Yangtze River and it's main tributary, Jialing River meet. Despite being so far inland it is an important sea port with luxury cruise ships that terminate at Chongqing.

Has a humid sub-tropical climate, influenced by the monsoon season. Summers are long and among the hottest and most humid in China.

I remember once Looking up the biggest cities by Land area and NYC and Tokyo were at the top of the list then and yet are stil so congested
Aucklandin NZ our biggest city was int he top 20 I think and only had about a million and a half people at the time, I used to Hate Auckland when I lived in NZ as it was to busy for me,now when I last went there it looked like a lot of sal towns rather than a big city to me funny how perception changes
