INDIAN ISLAND ... #walkwithme
Indian Island park in Aquebogue LI, NY is still rural and picturesque. The 275 acre park sits on the north side of the mouth of the Peconic river. At one time the eastern part my have been an Island, but today it is a peninsula.
The view to me is spectacular along the shore in all directions. The early Indian inhabitants of the area must have thought so to. At the very eastern tips Indian graves were discovered in 2005 after a storm eroded the sandy cliffs.
SO LETS TAKE A WALK...................
Big clouds were blowing passed the sun this day which made some of the pictures darker.
Last picture is the eastern tip where the Indian graves were found. Information on graves below.
