Hello New Friends!
Hello everybody! My name is Mary Jenel. I go by MJ or Jenel for short. I am the CEO/Founder of Manifest Movement. I heard about this awesome website from my older brother @jm90mm ! I am still quite new to blogging, but I’m excited to get more involved!
I love reading, solving problems, cooking, hiking, diving, fishing and being at the beach.
I am also a software engineer! :D
I started Manifest Movement after my father passed away in August 2016. I was lost and felt so alone. I didn’t just lose my father, I lost my best friend. All throughout 2017, I spent months reading self improvement books, attending church (it took me about 3 tries to find a good church) and listen to audiobooks and podcasts.
I, then realized that I was not alone. There were other people who went through a similar struggle.
Manifest Movement is a community of people from CEOs, best-selling authors, professional athletes and spiritual leaders who share their stories. When we share our stories, it gives us a sense of belonging and I (truly) believe that it promotes love and humanity.
What is humanity?
Humanity is being able to identify with someone else’s pain knowing how they feel by being there for them. Not having to say anything, but not passing on the road because it is not your son or your family member or your loss, but just being able to stand with them through the core of their pain, suffering and loss.

Hello MJ. When I grew up I lived in a neighboorhood that comprised of about 40 houses. At that time most of the homes had children living in them so as a result I had alot of friends growing up. Their was a sense of community and by default humanity was part of me. Being a resident in the neighborhood we all knew each other and if there was sadness or happiness it was shared among us.
Fast forward to today, I live in a condo in which there are about 40 apartments. I have been living there for years and I barely know my next door neighbor. There is no sense of community much less humanity. Eventhough I live amongst many people we all tend to live in our own bubbles. We are together but seperate. It is very sad. My moms' best friend is her TV. I am ashamed to write it, but it is the truth. Of course she will never admit that. Please everyone lonliness is a terrible thing. Reach out to people and see what it gives onto you.
MJ I hope your Manifest Movement grows to a point that gives people a sense of belonging. How many young people are joining gangs to get that sense of being apart to something, anything, to get that inner need. I wish you success and as one entrepenuer to another entrepenuer, don't give up.
