We all know that fast food isn't good for us. But what about Subway? Is it a healthy alternative? Just because Jared's pants are baggy doesn't mean you should jump in there with him.
There are Subway outlets in Malaysia too. In fact the nearest one to my house is, as the crow flies, half a mile away.
As with the other franchises like KFC, McDonald's etc., there's a premium to the prices. I'm not a fan of these but I know many others are. Especially younger people and children who feel these are a big deal. With this in mind, I'd willingly chip in something when treats are held for underprivileged children. It gives a lot of satisfaction to see their excitement and happy faces.
This is such an eye-opening post. When you mentioned the 'no soap with wash hands' thing, I was thinking, yeah okay, maybe that's it, nothing out of the ordinary. Then it escalated quickly from there... Guess the moral of the story is to not 'eat fresh'. That's crazy...
I never liked Subway and always suspicious about all those fast food chains. This just confirms my choice to not eat any animal products ever again and I certainly won't be going to any fast food chain ever again... thanks for spreading the message!
Giggles! There are all kinds of shenanigans in the food industry. Ham is injected with water for example; handy since it's sold by weight and water is heavy. Sometimes it goes the other way around. Liverwurst is often sold below cost; my local super sells it for 22 cents EU, impossible if you do the math, but they do it to get you in the door. I've long given up on fast food chains and there aren't any in my town.
That subway life, I feeeel you. I worked there for a year when I was 18. Our store had relatively fresh veggies but the meat is so processed and bread comes frozen. I won't generalise but most people in those jobs have very little care and that definitely comes out in the service that is provided.
"Fast food" is usually fake food in my eyes. I also worked at KFC when I was even younger and don't even get me started on the shit that happens at dirty bird.
You ended up in some ghetto subway. If that was actual "subway" you won't hae that here. I have friends who are working or owning one. You wont have any of what you mentioned hete. Weird experience :/ I hope it is a bad luck for you with SW.
