In this report I do a brief review of the markets for the week ending on Friday, March 23rd, 2018. I look at the precarious technical picture for the Dow Jones Industrial average and note how precious metals had a good week and gold finished up 2.5% while the major equity market indices finished lower by more than 5%.

I look closely at the biggest German bank, Deutsche Bank, and how its stock price is near all time lows and the fact that it is considered a SIFI or Significantly Important Financial Institutions by global financial regulators like the Bank for International Settlements and the European Central Bank.

I look at the recent history of the bank and how it got involved into the Wall Street environment of Casino Investment banking and how the failure of Deutsche Bank could make the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008 look like a picnic in the park.

If Deutsche Bank goes down we're all screwed. Although I think we're all pretty much screwed anyway, just some people less screwed than others! How did we get to a situation where these scumbanks hold the lever to the hangmans trapdoor with societies head in the noose?

Yes, I have been talking to my friends about this whole situation and it is amazing how people just give a blanket shoulder shrug like, well yea everything is fucked. But it's also fine all at the same time. It's like a car with steam coming out of the hood and nobody wants to look.

There comes a point where you just have to give up on them. Continually trying to educate people is de-energising and they just think you are being negative. It's best to let them find out for themselves when it's too late. When they come to you for advice when it's too late you can only really give them a blanket shoulder shrug.

Yes it is amazing that the public has been hoodwinked like it has. I think it boils down to ignorance of money and the educational system of the West.
