Maize Cultivation Techniques.
Assalamualaikum Everybody.

Corn is becoming one of the most important grain crops for humans and is no longer just used as chicken feed. Due to its great nutritional content and variety of uses, maize is becoming more and more popular.
ground Selection: Maize can be grown on high and medium-high ground that does not flood and does not retain water. In general, silty loam, sandy loam, and clay loam soils are the best for growing maize. The climate in Bangladesh allows for the year-round cultivation of maize. However, there is a financial return if maize is grown during the rori season.
Selection of a variety: The climate of Bangladesh allows for the cultivation of both hybrid and native maize. Because hybrid cultivars produce a high yield, they are grown on 95% of all the country's agricultural acreage. Other hybrid varieties include Pacific-11, Pacific-60, Pacific-983, Pacific-984, Pacific-988, 900M, Pearl, NK-46, Pioneer 3065, and Bari Hybrid Maize. Only seeds that have a germination rate of 90% or higher before being sown should be purchased. At least a week before planting, it is advisable to test the germination of seeds.
soil Preparation: Before cultivating the soil, organic fertilizers should be spread equally. Three to four horizontal ploughing and harrowing operations should be performed to prepare the soil when there are leeches present. Drains for irrigation and water drainage should be built on each of the four sides of the property after it has been leveled. The earth must be dug down one to two inches with the use of a hoe or a small hand plough to create this line, which must be secured with ropes on either side of the field. Lines must be separated by 30 inches, or two and a quarter cubits. Fill the line well with one seed at a time, leaving 8 to 10 inches or half an inch between the lines.
Fertilizer application and irrigation: If the soil lacks sufficient sap, a light irrigation should be used after seeding. The seedling should receive its first irrigation when it has three to five leaves. Care must be taken to ensure that irrigation or rainwater does not collect for 10 to 12 hours at the base of the tree. The first round of fertilization should involve sprinkling 75 kg per acre, or 3% urea fertilizer, between the two rows of maize plants when their leaves are 8 to 10 cm long. Before the blooms appear on the plant head, a similar amount of fertilizer needs to be applied along the line at the base of the plant. Drains should be filled before beginning irrigation. The afternoon is typically the optimum time to fertilize and irrigate.
Controlling weeds and insects: Cutworms, leafhoppers, jab beetles, and caterpillars frequently attack maize plants. Cutworm attacks on plants are more frequent at night. The young plant's base is sliced by the stinging beetle, which during the day shelters under the thin soil there. This bug attacks more frequently between 20 and 25 days after germination. The soil needs to be loosened for this. If the attack is more severe, a sunny morning is the best time to float and irrigate the field. The bug then emerges from the ground and perishes in the sun's heat. To control any insects in the cornfield, pesticides can be sprayed at allowed and sensible concentrations.
Attention: Ten to twelve days after sowing, pest infestations in corn fields are possible. Plans should be put in place at this time to drive the birds away. Grassy weeds must to be eliminated. Irrigation is crucial during the corn grain break because the land need a lot of juice.
❄️Thanks All ❄️
Corn carries essential nutrients for our body. So we should eat it in small amounts regularly. Thank you for such a healthy post.
Thank you.
