A Black-Backed Jackal (Canis mesomelas) catching and eating a young Puff Adder ( Bitis arietans) (sores of photos unknowen - sent to me on WhatsApp)
It is a tough life being a Puff Adder in Africa!
Many many animals are known to eat snakes - Puff Adders -despite being dangerous - seem to be high up on the menu.
When they breed, they have lots of babies at a time, one mother Puff Adder was recorded as having 143 babies!
Most of these baby Puff Adders end up being eaten by other animals and few get to adult size and breed.
