Left Ventricle
- I used an underpainting I'm working on, one with the subject of this piece and myself, and death (death of that relationship symbol). And, the written bit is as I styled it to take a shot, like any other piece of art!
My yt channel because dtube is totally unusable for me so far.

So many questions here.
The first one, is this a piece of longing? And if so, for what? For someone, for something, for a time?
And then, even if we answer that it is a piece of longing, then whose? Because the nature of who is the apparition, of who is gone and who is still there shifts throughout the piece. And thus the image is of two ships passing by in the fog, or of two people who never truly shared a space, as if they had their feet set on different planets, in different realities, but could glimpse the other, half-real. Ethereal.
Cross-boned arms, for is it a pirate who brings forth death, or someone already dead. Long past. And yet, still they ramble. In the attic, where we put things we want to look at later. Where we put things we never want to look at again. Where we put things that we never intend to use again but can't bring ourselves to throw out. Where we put things we intend to use once more.
And yet, while the apparition is free to leave, you are not. You still haunt yourself. And your attic. And these memories of bone, and blood, and rooms, of love. Once was, now dried up. Yet still pumping, from your left ventricle.
And is this a piece of longing, or is it a piece of wishing to not, or a piece of letting go of longing? And perhaps all at the same time.
And those old apparitions, they are one's patina, and I know you are fond of patina, as a mark of age, of a thing's history. But too much patina can block the flow of water. The flow of blood.
But whose memory is it anyway? Who is the patina? Whose?
I found the music quite interesting this way around. And that "Try again" at the end, waiting for those patient enough to hear, rather than try to be heard.
There was a moment where the drawing reminded me of Michaelangelo's centerpiece from the Sistine Chapel. It's all about reaching. And right now, raw and bloodied. Half-made, or taking all of one's conceits off. Will be curious to see the drawing once it's dressed up.
