Handmade dolls
I love to make dolls and make all kinds -- they sell and I make more. Some are scary, some are sweet, some look old and all are completely made from hand, no machines of any kind.
These two both sold at separate shows.
The sleeping elephant is made from hand dyed muslin and inked features, fully hand-stitched, stuffed with wool and her dress was made from a fragment of an antique silk sari with a crocheted collar -- she has extreme charm and wears a lucky jade ring.
The early style lady was made from wool stuffed heavy muslin, a primed & gessoed then casein painted face -- she sold in the nude.
