Superstitions among today's Christians
Long before we became Christians, we believed in other Gods.
At the crossing of the World and the search for new lands, we have had to know and live with different peoples. So our Beliefs, Gods,Rituals and Habits with the time have changed.
Despite the major changes, ancient rituals have still remained in our society .
This one is dating back 8000 years ago and the people who are wearing masks and costumes we call "Kukeri". Every mask, every sound and movement has its own meaning.
So without words, but through dance, people manage to tell an eternal story passed from generation to generation about the cycle of life.
Nowdays it is a bit more like a carnival.People use the time to go out, eat freshly prepared food on the street, drink a glass of wine, buy interesting handmade items ,but still the energy it brings is nice and refreshing.
