"Wireless Electric Power Transmission Technology" A Quick Understanding.
Transfer Of Electricity from one place to another place need physical connection(electrical Wires) between source and receiver. This transmission and distribution loss is always a major issue in Electrical Power system. These loss is due to some resistance of electrical wires and is between 20 to 26℅ depends upon distance between source and reciever and resistance of the wire.

From many years scientist want the wireless transfer of electricity. Nicola Tesla discovered the method of Wireless Transfer Of Electricity.
Theory of Wireless Power System:
Electric and Magnetic Field are created by charged particles in a matter because of Electron movement.
The basis of Wireless Power is the transmission of electrical energy by means of oscillating Magnetic Field by means of a transmission coil and a receiving coil.
In this system we need a DC power source which we converted to high frequency alternating current by means of advanced electronic system( thyristor, IGBT,MOSFET).
This high frequency alternating current energized the transmitter coil which generated a oscillating Magnetic Field which induced current in the Reciever Coil, which must be place within the range of certain range from the transmitter. Receiver coil then convert the AC current to DC current and used it.
For Increased the efficiency we used Resonance frequency for both transmission and receiving section.
This technology is used for Wireless Power transmission in short distance like in offices and home appliance and medical and research purpose and in some cases of industrial automation system.
Wireless Power transmission to Very long distance is possible by means of power beaming. We used electromagnetic radiation of microwave or laser beam from transmitter to reciever Antenna.
In this technology we need a
- Microwave Generators: This converts electrical energy to microwave signal
- Transmitting Antenna: Its Transmitting microwave Emmition to Receiving Section through space in a particular direction.
- Retenna: Its Receive Microwave power and then convert it to DC power by means of Impedance Matching device with a filter which match with transmission impedence for optimum efficiency and filter section remove other signal and only pass microwave signal, a Rectifying device( Schottky Diode) a Votage Multiplier and a Energy Storage Device.
Advancement:
Recent Research led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency( JAXA) used microwaves to deliver 10Kw of solar power to run an electric kettle through the air with pinpoint accuracy to a reciever 500mtr away.
By this achievement JAXA scientists are telling that in future they want to build up a Solar Firm with capacity of 1 Gigawatt in Space, because in Space there is no night and conversion efficiency of solar power to ectric power is high rather than Earth. They want set up 10000 metric tonnes of Solar Firm in geosynchronous orbit, 36000km away from Earth by 2030 and generated power transmit to Earth by Advanced Microwave Technology.
Not only Japan, The USA, Russia, UK, China ,India also want to set up their own technology to transmit Solar Power from Space to Earth .
