It's interesting seeing how far bitcoin has brought us, and how far cryptocurrency will be taking us :D Good post man :)
It's absolutely crazy.. I never thought BTC would usher this kind of change back in 2011. I was trying to tell my friend he is absolutely bat-shit crazy to invest his savings in mining equipment.. now i know hes not crazy.. just rich hahah.
And yeah I had to share this.. there's just something about Bettina talking about my favorite subject that makes me so happy.

I'd recommend to watch all other ted talks about blockchains too. All are good!
Yeah they are great! Some new information but mostly just an introduction.. as people still have no idea what the blockchain is. What times we live in...
I don't expect everyone else to know about blockchain. The technology itself shall be integrated into the real world systems seamlessly. For example, banks are competing each other to lower their own cost which relies on blockchain. General public shall have no knowledge about the technology itself. However, given that the coins are publicly exchangeable, in the next 5 years, I am expecting the general public coming in to dump money in the pool.

They'd tell you to get out of here with your crap - but now everyone is using it. like my mom, who once had no desire to go online, now routinely looks up new recipes and follow world news. Once integration happens with the blockchain, it will be so ubiquitous that we won;t know how we got by without it.. I was too young to be awed by the world wide web by the time I encountered it... I have a sense that the social know will expand on that scale with this piece of technology.
