El escritor ruso, León Tolstoi conocido mundialmente por sus novelas "La guerra y la paz" y "Ana Karenina" también escribió muchos cuentos cortos. Uno de ellos es "El perro muerto", una historia sencilla con un bello mensaje. Lo elegí porque en estos días, la negatividad pareciera apoderarse de todas las personas, da la impresión que no hay nada bueno que comentar y ¡claro que lo hay¡ por ejemplo el que hoy hayas amanecido vivo y estés leyendo esto.

Jesús llegó una tarde a las puertas de una ciudad e hizo adelantarse a sus discípulos para preparar la cena. Él, inclinado al bien y a la caridad, internándose por las calles hasta la plaza del mercado.

Allí vio en un rincón algunas personas agrupadas que contemplaban un objeto en el suelo, y acercándose para ver qué cosa podía llamarles la atención.

Era un perro muerto, atado al cuello por la cuerda que había servido para arrastrarle por el lodo. Jamás cosa más vil, más repugnante, más impura se había ofrecido a los ojos de los hombres. Y todos los que estaban en el grupo miraban hacia el suelo con desagrado.

–Esto emponzoña el aire -dijo uno de los presentes.
–Este animal putrefacto estorbará la vía por mucho tiempo -dijo otro.
–Mirad su piel -dijo un tercero-; no hay un solo fragmento que pudiera aprovecharse para cortar unas sandalias.
–Y sus orejas -exclamó un cuarto- son asquerosas y están llenas de sangre.
–Habrá sido ahorcado por ladrón -añadió otro.

Jesús les escuchó, y dirigiendo una mirada de compasión al animal inmundo dijo:
– ¡Sus dientes son más blancos y hermosos que las perlas! -
Entonces el pueblo, admirado, volviese hacia Él, exclamando:
– ¿Quién es éste? ¿Será Jesús de Nazaret? ¡Sólo Él podría condolerse y hasta ver algo que alabar en un perro muerto…!
Y todos, avergonzados, siguieron su camino, postrándose ante el Hijo de Dios.

Este cuento nos invita a ver siempre el lado optimista, el lado positivo de las cosas y el lado que tiene la belleza. Este cuento sin querer se ha convertido a lo largo de mis años en mi filosofía de vida, ante cualquier aflicción o espectáculo dantesco de la vida, siempre le doy vueltas a la situación hasta encontrar ese lado bonito y desecho el lado feo, siempre busco "los blancos y hermosos dientes del perro", por más cruel, fea y pestilente que sea la situación, mis ojos siempre se dirigen a los "blancos y hermosos dientes del perro", en la aflicción, busco los " blancos y hermosos dientes del perro".

Nuestra mente siempre nos dará el punto de vista negativo, pero no significa que sea el más realista, simplemente somos seres con instinto de protección y ante cada situación lo primero que aparece es el miedo, para tomar precauciones y que nada nos haga daño.

Si queremos cambiar, tenemos que tener esto en cuenta y analizar qué punto de vista estamos teniendo en cada escenario y si queremos que las cosas mejoren, debemos escoger un punto de vista útil, que nos haga crecer, porque pensar negativo sólo añade estrés y miedos a nuestras vidas, si logramos cambiar la manera de pensar automática negativa, por otra más positiva y útil, todo empezará a cambiar.

Apliquemos la Alquimia Mental en nuestras vidas, aprendamos a enriquecerla. Si logramos conseguir la fórmula de la conversión de los pensamientos negativos y destructivos en pensamientos positivos y edificantes, lograremos el mayor tesoro que podemos conseguir y podremos alcanzar cualquier meta que nos propongamos.

This story invites us to always see the optimistic side, the positive side of things and the side that has beauty. This story has unwittingly become over the years my philosophy of life, before any affliction or Dantesque spectacle of life, I always turn the situation around until I find that beautiful side and discard the ugly side, I always look for "the white and beautiful teeth of the dog", no matter how cruel, ugly and pestilent the situation is, my eyes are always directed to the "white and beautiful teeth of the dog", in the affliction, I look for the "white and beautiful teeth of the dog".

Our mind will always give us the negative point of view, but it does not mean that it is the most realistic, we are simply beings with a protective instinct and in every situation the first thing that appears is fear, to take precautions so that nothing hurts us.
