Spring 2018 semester begins!
This week kicks off the start of spring semesters. For those of us that were attending university in the fall, it was a nice break and it was well deserved. Now it is time to get back into the grove of things and refocus your mind back on school. This can prove difficult for most of us who really enjoyed our break. So here are some tips that should help you get back to the grove of things.
Read your syllabus.
Yes that extremely long document that summarizes every piece of info you'll ever need for the class. You should read it and then read it over again just to make sure you completely understand the expectation of the class. The last thing you want is to be surprised by a missed assignment that was due the first week.Write down your schedule
Working school back into your schedule can be a challenge. So many of us have gotten use to having our free time back that we might not remember all of our obligations. Make a schedule starting from Monday and going through Sunday. This schedule should be on you at all times, so you can make it on your phone or in a small schedule book. Just make sure you have it on you.
Highlighting important dates and times is also really beneficial. This ensures that you remember your critical appointments or assignments. Writing in multiple colors also works too.
Prepare materials ahead of time
Make sure that you've read over the needed requirements for your course. This means you have all the access codes, for specific websites, and your book for the class. You don't want to be the student who is three weeks into a course and far behind cause you just didn't have the necessary materials. Also make sure you have a folder to put all your notes and papers into and label them accordingly.Make others aware
Getting back into school can effect your time with others. So be sure to let others in your life know what is going on and when you're are available. This is especially important for your bosses. The last thing you want is your boss asking where you are or why you left work early without letting them know about your schedule.
So now that the school year has started I want to say good luck to everyone this semester. Everyone do your best! If you have any other helpful tips be sure to leave them in the comment section below.

Best of luck
