Steemit and the under 3 minute withdraw of some funds

I have just transferred 69 steem to an exchange , the first time i have withdrawn since i joined steemit over a year ago , i thought ok , 50 confirmations will take maybe 30 minutes or so , how wrong was i , it actually took under 3 minutes , literally that , how fast is that ! not bad me thinks .
the ability to write or rant which i do quite often on steemit , especially about my politicians and get rewarded for it is quite amazing, my posts arent the best quality and sometimes i just feel like posting some music to make my point instead of writing , the world of media is not just made of of type , and the world is not just made up of opinion via writing , you can make a point with anything .
Steemit has empowered people to a degree by allowing a possible income , yes you have to jump through a few hoops , but you have to do that with most things anyway.
