Ceyms Fenimor Kuper
15 sentyabr 1789-cu ildə Berlinqtonda (Nyu-Cersi, ABŞ) dünyaya gələn amerikan yazıçısı Funimor Kuper Amerika hindularının həyatını, məişətini və adətlərini təsvir edən ilk və ən məşhur romantik yazıçılardandır. Onun əsas qəhramanları Yeni Dünyanı fəth edən cəsur və Avropa sivilizasiyası qarşısında davam gətirməyib fiziki və mənəvi qətliama düçar olan yerli hindulardır. O, 14 sentyabr 1851-ci ildə 62 yaşının tamam olmağına 1 gün qalmış Kuperstaunda (Nyu-York ştatı, ABŞ) vəfat etmişdir.
1826-cı ildə yazılmış "Sonuncu mogikan" əsərindən başqa müəllifin "Casus", "Ləpirçi", "Periya", "Vəhşi heyvan ovçusu" kimi məşhur əsərləri var.
