Today, I woke up at 6.00 am and brushed my teeth. Then I quickly go to the office. I worked in the office till 3.00 pm yesterday. Go home and sleep for two hours. I am an electrical engineer. There is a fault in the 33 KV electrical substation in my office. I finished some work at night. I will finish the rest of the work in the morning and turn on the power supply, so I went to the office in the morning. I started working with my electrical team. 33 KV VCB faulted in the substation. I test with a megger meter before supplying.

I had the bad luck mega meter test report today. I start thinking of alternatives. Then, I have to solve the problem with my intellect. I have decided to change the bad pole of VCB. I have been working here for the past five years, so I know where the company is in my brain. I decided to unwrap a good pole from a broken VCB. I started working with my electrical team.

We start opening VCB to the Pole using different tools. There is a combination of mechanical and electrical tools. I know how to fix a broken pole. It will take time to fix the Pole, but I need to turn on my power supply quickly. We open the Pole. Then, we open the damaged pole and install the good pole. It takes us about two hours.

Then, we rechecked with the mega meter. We are very happy that the mega meter report came well. Our hard work has paid off. Then, we started setting up the VCB. We set up the VCB in about an hour. We heated the VCB by installing some 200-watt lights. This is a method to improve the mega report of a VCB.

Then, we switched off the lights and turned on the heaters inside the VCB. We finished work at the substation at 2:00 p.m. and moved to a safe distance. Because there is a possibility of re-fault with the first-time power supply, we have to keep a safe distance after working in the substation. I gave clearance to the electricity grid office that we were at a safe distance. I turned on the power supply after some time.

Then we are very happy that the power supply is switched on without any problem. I take a picture with my electrical team. All of our bodies get tired. The weather in our country is hot. We have been working on an electrical fault since last night. My body sweats profusely. I drink some water.

My Team Work

High-voltage line work in electrical substations is very dangerous. Many engineers I know have died while working on high-voltage lines, and many have had their limbs blown off. So, I give more importance to safety in electrical substation work. As I am the leader of the work, I have to avoid risks wisely. One mistake of mine will create a big accident. By the end of the day, I was able to complete the task and turn on the power supply.

Then I have lunch at 4:00 p.m. I'm attending the Dhaka phase meet-up tomorrow on the Steemit platform. I'm lucky I didn't fix the electrical problem, or I wouldn't have attended the meet-up. Then I go to the salon and get my hair cut short. Then I reach home at 5:00 p.m.

I go home and take an hour's rest. Then, I create a blog on the Steemit platform and submit it. Then, at 10:00 pm, I eat and sleep because I couldn't sleep last night.
