Here in my area of Australia we have 2 MAJOR grocery stores, Woolworths and Coles. Aldi are also quite big too with more of their shops popping up in regional locations, places where Woolworths or Coles are only located in the nearest biggest town.

This is a review of my personal experiences with brands that are popular here:

Huggies:
(Woolworths/Coles)
I find these nappies cater to the children with smaller bums because the ultra absorbent filling is so bulky. It looks like the nappy is always full of pee so you go change the kid and there is nothing there. These are expensive at $16-33 a bag depending on quantity.

Little Ones:
(Woolworths/Coles)
There was a report online and on TV a while back about this brand of nappies and their wipes. They reported that mothers were seeing red rashes, blisters, bleeding raw skin on their children, some were even hospitalised. The mothers tried to get Woolworths and Coles to remove the brand and their items but the companies refused. I tried the nappies myself to see if it was just a particular sensitivity, nope my kid got rashes, raw skin so we binned the rest of the bag after one or two nappies. They are still on the shelves at $11 a bag which is a good price but they are filled with cheap materials causing the above mentioned issues.

I loved these nappies on my first daughter, they fitted well and caught everything that they were supposed to and were a little cheaper. So I used them for her till she toilet trained out of them. When my youngest girl came along more brands became available at the market and were cheaper again. I didn't want to pay that price anymore but sometimes I get caught out on my last few nappies and grab a smaller bag. Just recently they brought in a new feature, CosiFit, which is absolute crap because it affects the inside near the leg preventing leakage (they changed that to prevent red lines on the kid which they never did).

Once Upon A Time:
(Woolworths/Coles)
These are great, comfy, held it all and are a great price at approx $11 a bag. Recently took them off the shelf for some reason but kept a few other items up.

There are a few more large grocery stores like the ones mentioned above (Franklins, IGA and Supa IGA) but those are not in my area.

Hopefully this article will prove useful to some parents out there, I feel I just had to say something.

Thank you.
