I believe @magic8ball is correct.
However, my starting point is that modern materialistic science is wrong.
I mean, this cat called Einstein said that the speed of light is fixed... the problem was that the measurements of light kept changing, so "scientists" got together and fixed that.
The problem with "The Bible" story of noah is that modern christians interpret it through the perspective of NOW and modern materialistic science. They interpret things that are fact as analogy and things that are analogies as fact.
And so, the biblical flood happened. There is too much corroborating evidence and stories.
But, did it rain 40 days and 40 nights? Not really. That was just common parlance for a really long time. And was the rain like what we experience today? Most likely not.
Probably what happened is an earth shattering event evaporated tons of water and caused a giant tsunami to travel across the world.
In america, there are rocks that came from the east, that are now in the west. modern materialistic science says glaciers moved them. But, why are they embedded in the mountains? And why are they all on the east side of the mountains?
And those supposed caves where "prehistoric man" sheltered... and they know this because they find lots of bones way back in the caves. Well, why are entire skeletons found there? Bones were used for all kinds of things from buttons to tools. And, why are all these caves facing east? (those scientists claim it was for morning sun)
So, a wall of water swept over the earth along with lots of water being put into the air, and then raining. Nothing like the clouds and rain we have today. (the bible even says this)
And i conclude that Atlantis blew up and reshaped much of the world. Many peoples talk about escaping in "life raft" kind of things. The destruction is in evidence everywhere. Whether it was Atlantis is only speculation, but it is the correct time and location. And the stories of destruction match.
