One of the keys to success is thinking before speaking. A lot of people have ended up in prisons and even lost valuables just because of the words they spoke. Using THINK as an acronym means;

T-Truthful: Let every word you speak be truthful. If not be silent

H- Helpful: Make sure every word you speak is helpful. If not be silent

Inspiring: Make sure what you are saying is inspiring. If not be silent.

N-Necessary: if what you are saying is not necessary please be silent.

K-Kind: Make sure the words you are speaking is kind. Don’t speak hurtful words. If you know the words you will speak is hurtful then please be silent

Be silent in the heat of anger. In the heat of anger a lot of people have been imprisoned, some have lost friendships, relationships, marriages and things that are worth it. In the heat of anger it’s best to remain silent so that you don’t soil good things . Keep calm first and think before you speak.

Be silent when you don’t have all the facts. Facts are very necessary when one wants to speak. Don’t speak when you don’t have facts. Without facts one will end up telling lies which can lead to a lost of great fortunes. Make sure you have facts before you speak.

Be silent when it’s time to listen. Silence is golden. You don’t have to talk every time, sometimes you just have to listen. In the moment of listening you can prevent incidences that may occur due to some words spoken. It’s better to listen than to interrupt when people are speaking. No interrupter learns.

Be silent if your words will convey the wrong impression. Don’t speak if your words will convey the wrong impression. If your words cannot be decoded by the receiver please be silent to avoid any issues.

Be silent if the issue is non of your business.It’s best to keep quiet when an issue isn’t your business. When you keep silent it keeps you away from trouble. If something isn’t your business kindly keep silent.
