Sounds like some classic hedge fund / wall street bs to me. They manipulate much larger markets than Bitcoin like oil, gold, etc. I've seen it time and time again in the traditional markets--support levels crashed through for no apparent reason.
Thanks for the explanation. This type of manipulation is why I was not happy to hear some wall street types and investment banks embracing crypto trading as of recently. They also have their cronies in the news media that they can collude with to provide sensationalistic, scary headlines to the average person, thus escalating selloffs.
