Memories of a tour of Hatton town surrounded by tea estates...

in #travelfeed5 years ago

Hello Wonderful Steem Community,

Welcome back. I have beautiful memory where I traveled tea plantation area of Hatton. The name Hatton is not immediately known in Sri Lanka. But among the people who love the environment, and who are looking for the hidden beauty, this hat is sure to know.

Even in the same tea area, when combined with the borders of Hatton, different weather conditions can be seen in several areas of the mountain in a single day. And many fresh water springs flow through this mountain.

The central hills of the island and surrounding areas have been identified as catchment areas of Sri Lanka. The region receives an annual rainfall of more than 2000 mm, with commercial tea, cloves, and vegetable cultivation on a large scale.

Needless to say, tea is the world's favorite beverage. The first tea seed was brought to Sri Lanka in 1824. Tea seeds were brought for research purposes and not for cultivation. Later, in 1867, James Taylor started commercial tea cultivation in Ceylon. Therefore, it is not wrong for James Taylor to be the father of Ceylon Tea.

The word Ceylon Tea has been well heard. This word is very popular not only in Sri Lanka but all over the world. This is because Sri Lanka is the best tea producing country in the world. Two or three decades ago, no other country in the world could challenge the Ceylon tea.

Hatton is a beautiful ecosystem full of waterfalls, mountains and canals. Hatton also has many more interesting places to visit.

You can see corner of the front waterfall previously I wrote. Sri Lanka is a country with a high reputation for tea. Tea is the foremost among the Sri Lankan business plantations. Tea cultivation is one of the major foreign exchange earners in Sri Lanka and tea cultivation is one of the main employment opportunities in the country as there are about one million workers involved in this plantation.

Hatton can be considered as an area where Sri Lankan spices are a priority. Cardamom, cloves, nutmeg and pepper are some of the highlights. It is through their stories and actions that we learned that people who are still living in the past are living in the mountains. We must respect those people for sacrificing their lives for our resources.

Hatton is a most cold village where I stayed. Also we could see big fog covered whole area in front of us. Actually people where live in Hatton so friendly and innocent. They told anything they knew previously and gave safe instructions for travel here. Thanks for visiting. See you in next.

Happy Weekend.
