Hello Steemians,

How are you my friends? I hope you're doing well. As I previously announced you through video content, 14th April was really remarkable day to Sinhala and Tamil citizens who're residence in Sri Lanka. This year festival was great opportunity to spread love and peace with relations and friends. Also great way to build up strong base to relationship. This festival is a cultural event that has been handed down from our ancient ancestors. The unique feature here is that all citizens can cook, work, deal, eat and anoint at the same time. It is called the auspicious time. The New Year started at 2.33 am. This year many people started lighting firecrackers and skylights to celebrate the joy. So the whole sky was lit up, and the noise was very loud.

`Then came the auspicious time for cooking. At 6.17 in the morning, dressed in a green suit and facing east, a fire-lit milk rice was prepared. In our house this work was done by mom in the kitchen and the milk boiling ritual was done by me and my wife from the living room of the house.

Boiling milk reflects the symbol of prosperity. So the milk jug is filled with fire. From ancient times the people have different opinions regarding this ritual. But without thinking too much about them, we sincerely performed our rituals from home at the auspicious time.

Thereafter, the auspicious time of dealing with work and eating, the opportunity to perform this ritual facing east at 7 forty - one, there are still people in our society who still perform this ritual incorrectly. They eat food first and then start dealing with family members. The first thing to do is to do some good work.

During this festive season, money transactions take place between adults, and gifts are distributed between children and adults. The distribution of clothes to our parents was done by both of us with great devotion.

From time immemorial, money transactions began with family members. This was done because there was no jealousy among the family members for the betterment of an individual. There was also a belief that it was an auspicious event.

As the head of our family, my father traditionally lit the coconut oil lamp. This was followed by a family meal. We all started eating milk rice first. Then we started eating delicious home-made sweets that are unique to Sri Lanka.

There were more sweets on the New Year tables this year than last. At a time when the corona epidemic is still spreading across the country, more attention needs to be paid to health policies. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. Accordingly, a special New Year revival was seen throughout the country.

We were all very happy to be able to do all the auspicious activities on New Year's Day in a clearer and more transparent manner. Accordingly, it can be accepted that we all have the opportunity to live happily and peacefully this year. Eventually we took a selfie to show that we were all happy. There is no doubt that there is a culture and tradition that is unique to all people living in the world. Accordingly, this platform is a unique platform for sharing those cultural opportunities. Special thanks to you for reading my content. Have a successful day.
