This triumphal arch is called the pearl of architectural art. It adorns the main square of our city. It was created by architect Carl Rossi in 1829 in honor of the victory in the war of 1812. The theme of military glory is often reflected in monumental sculptural and architectural structures. This composition also brings through the centuries the solemn procession of the victorious chariot, which adorns the arch of the General staff at the Palace square.
Thank you Arthur for Your comment! I think that if you come to Russia, there is much here can be very surprised :) . I am sure that you will find here a lot of interesting and exciting. It will be a good journey. Welcome to St. Petersburg!
In Siberia??? Why such a strange choice, Arthur? What do you know about this cold region? I was born in Siberia, but when I was 11 years old, my parents decided to move from this region. Now I Live in St. Petersburg.
Good question, I don't know much, besides the fact that it's so vast and cold!
I seem to like being in the middle of vast places away from big cities.
Then I saw a documentaty about a guy living for 6 months near lake Baikal, it seems so peaceful and away from bureaucratic life in the city, just need a cozy hut and hunting gear haha
Oh! Baikal is cool! I was born in those places. I know You recently, but based on your travels, which I have already read, I think that Baikal will be a very suitable place for you.
If I don't freeze my tropical butt in there hahahahaha
I'm glad that you have read my content @madlenfox! I feel bad that time here is going on so crazy that I can't relax for a bit to enjoy my friends' material, and you are one of them.
Beautifully composed to show the glory of thus magestic structure. How i wish there were some dramatic cloud formation at the time you capture these shots to add drama to the composition. I give you an upvote and have resteem your work.
Well done
Thank you for your support and comment. This landscape always looks different. This bright sky that day seemed to me symbolic, the goddess of victory in her chariot stands over this famous square, and over her head a clear peaceful sky. Thanks for watching :)
oh beautiful, would love to visit someday in person too
Eveytime I see constructions like this, I can't help but think "how the hell did they build that?" It seems so complex!
I really wanted to visit Russia one day, everything seems so epic, including the cold hihihihi

Yeah, I'd love to live in the middle of Siberia. Have you ever been there?

I like this arch, there are still clocks hanging in front of it. Good photo! I like the combination of colors ...
Thank you for watching. I liked the shades that day, too. The sky was especially beautiful. It was turquoise.
Turquoise and yellow - a combination that can be beautifully presented only by nature!
