Snow Flakes

I have never seen snow in my life, so I thought it would be nice to just see how it works, especial snowflakes as they have some pretty amazing patterns.

Snowflakes are Ice crystals that come in many shapes and sizes. Every snowflake is unique because of the way they are formed. They are formed as water droplets below freezing form crystals around a dust particle. As the temperature or humidity changes, the water crystallizes differently which is why each snowflake is different and is also why they are not completely symmetrical.

Snowflakes are clear but because of the way they reflect light, they look white. When they become heavier than the wind can carry them they fall to the grown as snow. If the ground temperature in not below freezing they start to melt, but if the ground temperature is below freezing, they form large blankets of snow that makes the world look really beautiful and very cold. These blankets are made up of millions of individual snowflakes which is mind blowing to think about.

The closest I have come to seeing a snowflake is seeing frost form on a car window. I really hope to see some snow one day.

nice winter alley

here in vancouver snow is really slushy but when it falls it's something special.

I hear it gets pretty messy and cold too.

yo tampoco he visto la nieve. pero me parece majestuoso lo que puede hacer la naturaleza . como describe tu los copos de nieve. en la que parecen patrones perfecto.

Snow is amazing. Thanks for sharing these great photos.

Never saw snow in my life either, but snowflakes always drives me crazy, I love how geometrical and perfect nature can be, this is one of those insignificant things about life that truly mesmerize you, thanks for sharing and hope to meet snow soon.

I hope you get to see it.

Snow is amazing when you're a kid. Snow is amazing when you are on holidays. Snow is the spawn of hell when you have to go to work!!!! :)))

I have heard that it is pretty bad. What is the worst part about it when you have to work?

Well, in Belgium the tiniest amount of snow brings traffic to a complete stand-still!

Wow amazing work love the pictures

nice nature is a reflection of ourselves

I experienced a 30 seconds moment of snow at the Hague back in 2015. I was busy rushing my work and then my host called out to me,
"You are going to miss the snow!"
And I rushed down to see. I was quite amazed how the air chills and tiny little flakes flew by, unfortunately they were too small for a camera shot.

beautiful @madiba :)
