Let's go Japanese bento
Maru Maru Tei is the only Japanese restaurant in the area thus it is not surprising that it is always full during meal time. That is one of the reasons why from time to time, I take my meals later than the regular timing.
Coming here for late dinner is so cozy because there are almost no other diners. No pressure.
The space is not so wide but enough for diners to move freely without elbowing each other while eating.
There are many options on the menu. This time, I ordered for a bento box of ebi tempura. That is a box of shrimp tempura with side dishes like veggies and fruit.
While waiting for my order I can't help but wonder what the writings on the lanterns mean. And yes, the greetings that the crew would utter when you enter. I don't understand so I just smile when they greet.
I may also need to start learning Japanese language with all these books right behind my chair. I wonder if any diner would really stay and read these books. I came here a few times already but I haven't seen anyone reading.
Ya, my order is finally served. Wanna share? Kidding aside and without thinking about the cost, it was a good dinner. I just wished there are more tempura. I think I can finish ten. 😊
I tried their don buris. Now their bento. Maybe I'll try their ramen next time...
