Me, Me, Me! (an original poem)
that's not sure
of itself
so many people
just out
for themselves
grows
by the day
expanding the notion
there is
no other way
that's not
fit for anyone
marching to the beat
of their
very own drum
fall
by the wayside
when
what's in it for me
is how you decide
the purpose
of give and take
loses all meaning
if it comes off
as fake
rob
who you are
that need to achieve
when you
take it too far
succeed
believe we have
a shot
but a virtue
it's certainly not
the
kindness you possess
was not meant
as a tool
to deceive and impress
honorable
feeds our souls
and without
even knowing it
can further your goals
understand
what they fail to see
they spend all
of their time
on -- Me, Me, Me!
