Is ARMAGEDDON Really Coming… (what?!)

The End of Days

People having been worrying.., or should I say preaching about the end of time -- almost since the beginning of time. Armageddon seems to transcend time, guess… Whether the end of days comes from the will of God, eliminating all that is wicked.., or elemental powers that devour the the earth.., and there is always the chance some stupid human presses a button and starts WWIII on a nuclear scale (not good for anyone).

Threats from the sky, pandemics and plagues, narcissistic leaders… There are no shortage of ways the world can end… There are some (many) "religions" that actually can't wait for the coming of their messiah and pray for the end of days. There are groups all over the world preparing for it, there are "safe zones" -- places that will fare better when disaster strikes. Also, a little girl who has dreams where she speaks to God.., said God told her the Smoky Mountains and The Ozarks are safe zones (hmmm…).

And according to some.., The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the book of revelation, will be harkening in the end -- symbolizing Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. Given the power to set the world a flame by any means possible, on their journey for the end of days. This is in the bible and many believe.., we are heading for a reckoning…

The White Horse
I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come and see!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. ( Revelation 6:1-2)

The Red Horse
When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come and see!” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword. ( Revelation 6:3-4)

The Black Horse
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” (Revelation 6:5-6)

The Pale Horse
When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come and see!” I looked and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. (Revelation 6:7-8)

Volcanoes.., and these won't be normal volcanoes.., but super volcanoes -- like ones that have taken place in the past at Yellowstone National Park. It's even been referred to as a -- ticking time bomb. And there is another one in the Canary Islands that could blow at any time... Earthquakes, tidal waves, tsunamis. Hit by one of the million meteors flying around our planet at any given moment, an electromagnetic pulse used to wipe out the electrical grid.., causing death and destruction.

There are a number of scenarios.., all with the same outcome -- total annihilation. And with the state of the world today, one of the biggest threats to the world right now is.., nuclear. If you think the government can protect you from a 10 kilotons nuclear bomb.., have you been to the DMV, lately. It would be impossible to track every individual (lone wolf) that could be responsible for something so horrendous. I believe it is the number one threat expressed by many security experts worldwide.

The Prophets

We can't forget the prophets that have predicted the end of days… The most famous of all being Nostradamus -- who some say predicted the rise of Hitler, assassination of the Kennedy brothers and the World Trade Center Attacks… Some say, that's kind of a stretch. But plenty do believe in the quatrains (rhymed four-line verses) he used to obscure his predictions. Some interpretations of his prophecies put the at 7000 years after the writing -- the year 8555.

But his predictions for 2016, according to some, have been staggeringly accurate… Oil fields being set ablaze in the Middle East, the irregular weather patterns worldwide, melting of the North Pole -- these people believe the events leading to the end of days have already been put in motion.., and at any moment it could all go down. And Nostradamus is not the only one… Edgar Cayce has predicted some pretty horrible natural disasters that sound apocalyptic.., and Zecharia Sitchin has also touted in on the endif days -- plus many, many others.

There a list of apocalyptic dating as far back as 400 AD.., when a French Bishop stated that the world would end before 400 AD.., all the way to -- 7.5 billion years from now, when the earth and moon fall into the sun… And even though, Im not a religious person.., it's not hard to imagine something very, very bad happening.

Im also not a conspiracy theorist, either… But when you look around and see all the craziness going on, with no solutions on the horizon -- it's not so hard to think… While less than honest (and I am being very generous with that description) people lead this world and set the rules to the game, while religious tensions boil over and terrorism rears it's deathly intentions every time you turn on the TV… You can see how easy it would be.., for something to spiral out of control and anything is possible.., even the end.

*There is always hope, though. While there is breathe, there is hope…
Some good people, with honest intentions --
can change the course of the world…
And even save it!
