Get over yourself and be awesome instead! Sometimes social situations provoke rather silly behaviors in people. Scoring points, fighting over attention of certain people and attention seeking towards oneself is high up there. We all have been there. Some more aware of it than others.
Why them and not me? I am gonna get you! Headless chicken chase. Petty and desperate doesn’t look pretty on anyone. Can’t you see that it is the chase, not the chased that made you think it was good idea in the first place? Worth it? Did not occur before the chase was on. Exactly the thing you wanted. Right?
I will neglect you because I did not get the attention I am entitled to. How dare you! Go ahead and sabotage your own awesomeness with your self-centeredness and with your own super importance. How about you take the first step towards meeting in the middle ground for once? They have to come to me! Shut up! Humble up!

If I'm not mistaken @m31 that looks like steel wool being spun around, likly in something like a whisk? Thats one of those DIY projects I want to try for myself one day!
Hehe. That actually is just a branch that caught on fire and my brother was moving it. I accidentally caught it on camera and was happy about the effect it made, so I made more than one fun shot :)

Ah! Fellow pyros! I've have played with firey branches many a time! And with labor day weekend this weekend we are burning out the old root system of a tree that was cut down and we have lots of brush and such on it! It will be loads of fun!

Most of our unhappiness is due to our own doing and wrong attitude. We should ask ourselves when we feel down where it comes from, but people keep looking for external causes. It is mostly internal though.
Hi m31. I love the fire shots catching the sparks. I normally can look at a fire for hours getting lost in the flames.

I love looking at fire as well. Funny, how kids are told to stay away from fire, but everyone who gets a little burn later knows to be more careful. My grandfather let me take care of fireplace when I was little. So sometimes I was keeping an eye on it for hours and never got bored.
Most people don't understand the true meaning of what it is to be humble. They hold onto their hubris like they would the last vestiges of a once-comforting fire on a cold night...
It is also seems easier to spot it in others than in yourself. Not impossible though, but not everyone are willing to give up on their hubris.

They are photos I took this year at summer solstice. It is a stick that caught on fire. It created this cool effect on camera when it was moved around fast. You can get the same effect with any lights or sparklers too :)
