I still remember my professor’s advice during the last semester of my studies as I couldn’t decide which path to take going forward. Narrow it down. Our interests can cover many, different fields, but to really be great at something, we need to specialize or focus our attention on something specific.
However, these days everywhere you look people are demanded to be able to handle as many things as possible. Is that a bad thing? No. In fact, it is amazing for each person to have various skill sets. At the same time, can we say that we are all experts at every single one of them? Probably not.
Narrowing down, excelling and then reaching outwards for more and more skills actually makes a lot more sense than trying to do it all sometimes not grasping the general idea or direction in which we are headed. Unfortunately many young, bright minds struggle with choosing the direction. Who would have thought that having too many choices would be paralyzing? Maybe we should be taught the art of narrowing down to avoid getting lost in between all of the choices?

Yea I think it is very confusing for people who are not sure about one clear line or thing they absolutely would love to pursue.
