I mean doing something together with Brian. That always comes at the first place. Steemit won't go anywhere. It will be here tonight, tomorrow and probably also next month and next year.

I'm actually not sure what impact the number of posts has. Actually we can not be certain about anything since Asher kept the formulas secret.
So at this moment I would not suggest to create more posts. As it takes me normally over 1 hour to create one. And these comments are much quicker and surely contribute.
I do believe that replies to replies help a lot. So this conversation. Not only helps for the number of characters, but also because we both write quite a few replies to replies. And I increase the replies to replies even a bit further by splitting my comments in 2 separate comments. Each comment is a bit different qua subject. Hoping to keep things really readable.
Well, I'm glad to hear it, because there's no way I can do more than 4 posts per week tops!
We had a nice few hours out; walked had a snack and a drink by the ocean, it was perfect. It is the hottest time of year here though, so we are both exhausted now :)
Speaking about hot, in Holland it was over 30 degrees yesterday. That sometimes barely happens in a summer. But do July we are close to an average of 30 degrees (I think 26-27 to be realistic).
@crypto-econom1st, I understand it's been unusually hot in the States and Canada too. I hope it is not an continuing trend!
It still looks like we will break a dry record from 1976.

If you compare that to our weather, it's just very nice here. Sunny and about 25 degrees.
Part of our country has some water restrictions. You are not allowed to water the garden or fill a children's pool.

Back in Canada, we often had watering restrictions throughout the summer. Even numbered houses watered one day, odd numbered houses the next. When things got really bad, no watering at all. Even in British Columbia, the lower mainland, where it rained almost all winter!

You're right let's focus on how to get a bit higher in the league without putting much more time in it.
First thing is to get a bit more replies to replies. We are both getting at least a few in our conversation. Further you could think about if you want to write very short last replies. Something like "thanks" or "great to know"
The other important own is upvoting. Because I don't know the exact formula, I can only guess that having both more upvotes as well as unique upvotes gets you more points. I personally think that a higher number of unique upvotes helps best. But that is just my feeling.
Replies to replies! Gotcha :) And yes, upvotes; I always wish I had more to give! I did notice the second level replies in the leagues. I'm at a disadvantage now this week; one day off for fun, and yesterday off because Brian wasn't feeling very well at all. Oh well, such is life.

About the upvoting, do you use auto upvoting?
Yes, I have a few groups on auto upvote as well as some individuals. Last week, I cancelled them when my voting power got way too low, and then I forgot to set it back up haha
I don't know how auto voting precisely works. But let's assume I'm correct that a high number of unique upvotes gets you more points for the league, then I would suggest to let auto upvoting do its work by upvoting as many as possible for the lowest possible voting power.
Concrete this could mean giving upvotes for 0.5% VP. If it works you would give 200 upvotes for 1 full upvote. If you do that only once or twice a week or would probably help quite a bit.
I always thought you could tell the auto voting tool to start voting as soon as your voting power is above a certain percentage? That should do the trick.
