Doodling is fun!

in #art8 years ago (edited)

This post was inspired by @sumayyahsaidso. Since I joined Steemit, I have seen her drawing, improving her skill day by day. Her determination to get better at drawing was really inspiring.

Thus today I finally grabbed a pencil and started to doodle and draw again.

I haven't done in a while and I felt it right away. Practice is key like for any other task. Even Cupid needs to practice!

The last time I did some drawings was close to one year ago, when I did the illustrations for my first poetry collection. Except that, I only made some quick sketches for the few acrylic paintings I have realized lately.

I took these photos with my phone, thus the quality is not too great. Sorry about that!

Next step would be colouring but that task will be performed by my little artist, who has been patiently waiting for me to finish this post.

I am honored to have inspired you!

I have been meaning to do it for quite some time but never found the time. Thank you!

a very unique doodle

cool doodling mine are more like chicken scratchings LOL

Lovely sketches, first step to finer arts in the future :-)

Doodling is always fun, a great way to relax.

I like the work you

I love the mouth practice doodles, and that happy little cat at the end! ❤️

My kid loved the cat too ;0)

That's a really cool idea that your kids may colour your sketches! It's kinda surprising you haven't drawn in a long time, since I know you've done the art for your poetry collection. You're talented at so many things though, for real! It shows your eagerness and willingness to learn and achieve :)

Thanks! You make me blush ;0) I did the art (cover and interior illustrations) for my first poetry collection. Now for the 3rd one, I only did the cover. You'll see it next week ;0)
I get my son involved in most of the art projects that I do, because it's a great way to increase his creativity. He has done quite a few backgrounds for my paintings. He loves painting with acrylics as well. I'll have a post with some of his own artworks.

I'm sure he will cherish that for a long time. As a child I was never pushed into anything creative or artistic; we were very achievement-focused. It's something I feel like I missed out on. I hope that in the future I'll be able to engage in more artistic stuff, once I have more access to resources and stuff :) I find people like you, who don't just strive to be good in one thing and that's it, to be quite inspirational. Learning and Growing are important throughout are lives <3

All you need is the will to do something. It's never too late to learn anything. ;0)

Nice doodles, @lymepoet! Your character expressions are good!

Thank you! Thanks for stopping by!
