ColorChallenge Wednesday: Charlottenburg Palace
This picture is one of my favorites that I took while in Germany. My grandmother liked it as well, and I had it framed for her to display at her house. The hat reminded me of her gardening hat. The two of us often picked fresh strawberries together.
Both of these pictures are taken at Charlottenburg Palace. The palace started construction in 1695 and finished in 1713.
Starting in 2004 till early 2006, Charlottenburg Palace was the home of the President of Germany, whilst Schloss Bellevue was being renovated.
Nice photos! Those statues are very interesting, not what I would expect for a German palace.
Thank you!
Not what I expected either. It may have been the time change, and different architecture coming into vogue. I believe the conceptual artists and royalty involved with the plans had French influences.
Glad you enjoyed them. :)
Very nice photo!
Thank you @sofi-m! :)
