STEEM DOLLARS (SBD)
Whenever I see Steem Dollars, it always feels like a Virtual version of the US Dollars. I checked out the chart and it doesn't fluctuate as much as Steem.
A little about Steem Dollars parity to the US dollar
Steem Dollars is always able to maintain at around 1 USD. At its peak, it reached 14 USD per SBD, a whopping 1400% in growth if you held onto SBD at that time. I doubt it would be going up that much any time soon.
Knowing this, you can actually use this as a SBD as a hedge against any falling Steem Prices. Steem Dollars doesn't fall as much as Steem for the reasons stated in the link above. One of the reasons is also the lower supply which allows easy control of demand / supply which usually pushes prices of assets up or down.
This is tool that airlines use to still make profits when the oil prices increase to cap prices at certain levels.
At the moment with falling Steem prices. Yes, you can also see it from your post. It is also a great way to keep maybe 70% as SBD but it's your own decision on how you much you would like your SBD to be.
