Let's talk about Kurt Hahn Six Social Evils

I am writing this publication in honor of the German educator Kurt Hahn, who in his lifetime was one of the most prominent progressive figures of Jewish origin, and considered by experts in investigative pedagogy as the father of experimental education, whose methodology is still accepted on a global scale.

Paradoxically, Kurt Hahn held the position of director of the Salem school at the dawn of Adolf Hitle's Nazi Germany, however, this responsibility did not prevent him from contributing his vision of the interweaving of the logical connection between existing knowledge and the results derived from experimental trials.

However, beyond the significant contribution in experimental education that is attributed to Kurt Hahn, his greatest contribution to humanity was in his diagnostic approaches, mainly on what he considered to be the six social evils that corrupt human beings in their youth.

According to Kurt Hahn, as social beings in our youth we inevitably tend to lose our freshness and charm, essentially because we are exposed to the constant pressure and moral deterioration that humanity faces.

In Kurt Hahn philosophical ideology, we lose our freshness and charm through 1) lack of fitness, 2) decline of initiative and purpose, 3) decline of imagination, 4) decline of craftsmanship, 5) decline of skill, and 6) decline of compassion.
