Hello dear friends of @Project.HOPE, the Russian state continues to give of what to talk about in terms of cryptocurrencies, the most recent scenario that has starred Russia has to do with the bill that seeks to regulate the mining of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, the estament that has been proposed opens the possibility to Russian citizens can mine on their own.

Among the elements to highlight implicit in the proposal, they include as key facts, that Russian citizens could mine Bitcoin under the figure of self-employed, so this new project would complement the previous plan of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian state to establish regulatory parameters for the legal use of the exchanges.

Bullfrag

In this regard, according to information published on Russian government news portals, a group of Russian deputies submitted to the State Duma or lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, a bill that seeks to regulate the mining of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in that country immersed in a war against Ukraine, which triggered a series of economic and financial sanctions that are currently affecting the economic health of the Eurasian giant.

It is noteworthy, that one of the articles of the draft law opens the possibility for Russian citizens to mine on their own, provided that they register as an individual entrepreneur or self-employed, and they may also do so if their electricity consumption does not exceed the limits set by the government.

It is also worth noting that mining operators will be required to keep track of the cryptocurrencies generated, their types, contracts with users, contracts with exchange operators or payment systems and banks, exchange services that exchange currencies and their purchase, with this data they will have to submit a periodic report to the government.

From my perspective, beyond the regulations implicit in this new bill pushed by the Russian state, a new and interesting scenario opens up that takes steps towards the adoption of cryptocurrencies in Russian territory.

Hello @lupafilotaxia, I find it very positive that individuals can mine Bitcoin in Russia, the only thing I don't like is that in addition to registering as a "BTC miner" they must also provide information on contracts, transactions and other details that should remain private.

Hi @tocho2

It is true in a way the fact that users should provide information about contracts, it is something I don't agree either.

Best regards, be well.

Hi @lupafilotaxia
This is interesting. Note that cryptocurrencies, especially BBTC arises to fight against centralization. So, a central state as is the Russian state wants to make use of cryptos to try to dodge a bit of regulations imposed by other states that are authoritarian.....
interesting that. All in all, I am glad that civil society can make use of mining, because I know that it must not be easy for the general population in the whole situation, and I am sure that cryptocurrencies can help them to have a better economic situation.

Hi @josevas217

All the actions that Russia has been promoting by legal means in the cryptocurrency issue, undoubtedly, can help them to have a better economic and financial situation.

Best regards, be well.

Wow. This is very good. I really hope this bill passes. If a world power country as Russia adopts BTC, we should expect a pump in the price of BTC as well as Altcoins soon. Nice article @lupafilotaxia.
