Painting disaster in transit from Australia- not a bad effect!
I had a very wet oil painting wrapped in wax paper for travel..

To let the oil dry overnight I unwrapped the painting to let it get as much oxidation as it could before I got on an intercontinental flight the next day. It was almost completely dry and I wrapped it back up with the wax paper in the morning and got the resulting image when I got back home.
I quite enjoy all the little textures..might try to replicate the effect next time!
Our mistakes are our greatest teachers, if we are willing to learn from them.
As the wise sage Bob Ross put it, "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents." =)
BTW, is that a drop bear I see in the bushes? ;-)
