What A Day, What A Day!!!

in #lukin-bikes7 years ago

So today when I said I woke up on the wrong side of bed, I think that was an indication that I needed to stay in bed . Today was a bad day, but I'm happy it happened and I got through it. So I'm traveling down the Interstate making great time. I'm nearing a big town in Idaho, which means the shoulders starts to become filled with debris. Well a sharp piece of metal tore my tire a good 3 inches. I have spare tubes, but don't carry any spare tires, I know I should, and I will this week, with the money coming in, but the first week I had to budget. And I don't do patches. So the closest place the sold tires was Walmart, 3.7 miles away. I said ," welp, looks like I'm walking." I remained in good spirits even though I knew the 3.7 mile walk I had ahead would not be all that fun. I actually told my mom, after this adventure I'm never stepping foot onto another bike haha, that may of been a bit drastic, but it was in the heat of the moment. I ended up walking all the way to Walmart which took a little over an hour, and bought a new thicker and wider tube. I put it on, and pumped up my tire and kept on going, I still had 20 miles to go after all of that.
Now I'm happy that I got to my camp site that I wanted to get to, but it's the most expensive one yet, and by far the worst campsite. It's literally a square space of sand. It's okay though, I'm thankful I have a place to rest my head. And it's not to far out of town where I can go get something to eat. I added a picture below of my camp spot
Now I'm going to spend the rest of my day editing tomorrow vlog, go eat, and replying to everyone's comments!!!😊🚴🏻

I hope everyone had a great day, stay blessed 😊🙏🏻

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry you had trouble on the road. I came to check on you as I like to pop in on my peeps and just saw you resteemed my blog. 🤣 Thank you for your support! And of course, we are keeping you in our prayers.

Thank you, I appreciate it so much😊

Perhaps every 3 days or so you should rest in a small town for a day or two. That way you'll have time to meet the locals and spread the STEEM gospel. Try not to overextend yourself -- most importantly -- HAVE FUN.

I was thinking of also getting some cards made up, kind of like business cards, that has steemit information on it. Makes it easier for people to remember after I tell them my story to go home and look it up! I'm surprised that 95 percent of the people I've come across has been over the age of 50-55. Our generation doesn't go outside it seems anymore.

LOL, the epidemic is real. I usually only leave my house to get the mail or food.

I was contemplating the same thing earlier today. I'm actually out my house and on vacation in Albuquerque, New Mexico and every Uber driver I meet I always bring up STEEMIT/Bitcoin/crypto and it's pretty much information overload for most of them. It'll be easier just to give them a business card.

I agree with this 100%. I think resting in a small town for a day and educating locals about Steemit would help getting people more interested in joining. I also think the extra rest is good for your body since you're just given'er so far. Thank you @fulltimegeek for giving Lukin so much support and thank you @Lukinsawyer for being the dopest Steemian there is!

Nala Ford has something to say....

I love this so much.

Haha this is awesome. She's such a cutie!!

Sorry u had to walk that far brother, but remaining positive is the antidote. Whatever obstacles come your way, a smile is your biggest defense and aid. I love that you put up the map of your trail. Stay blessed bro

Thanks for that tip!! When I edit my videos in a wifi area, I will continue to do that!!
Yeah, it was a rough day yesterday, but all the struggles are just small tests, and If I pass, that negative energy gets put aside for positive energy to arise!!
Hope you and yours are all good, stay blessed brother.

Go Lukin. I'm cheering for you.

You welcome <3

Obstacles always seem to come up at the worst times in these challenges. I give you my humble 100% upvote to try and help get some of that tire money back.

Hey I appreciate that!!:)
Yeah, I'm hoping I'm past most of these misfortunes haha. It's the best thing in the world until something happens haha.

Good job keep on keeping on !! You know the rest .

Thank you! After all these tough times, come happy days!

so long as you are able to get up should not matter if it's the right or wrong side of the bed unless the wrong side faces a wall, all is good :) I like how you do the map trail shots neat thanks for sharing and be safe out there.

Haha I like your thinking!!:) thank you!!

Great adventure.
