Mellow Lullabies - (An Original Poem)

a touch so gentle rocks your body,
sending you off to far away lands-
where dreams are vivid and smiles wide:
oh how quickly cries turn into mellow lullabies.

you clench onto my hand so tight!
do you feel the pumping of my heart
and my increasing heartbeat
with every breath you take?

i wonder, do your eyes wander,
or do they gaze into the distance? -
do you know who i am?
brother, oh how good it is to see you.
