Hello World!
Joining SteemIt in July of 2017, I had been actively sharing my poetry on here, engaging with a wide range of bloggers and artists, but as the months went by, not only did my art change and I went through what some would call a 'writer's block', but I also lost interest and passion for SteemIt. In the last few months, I have been trying to figure out which direction I want to take my art, and I am now happy with what I have come up with.
This is the plan: 7 different themes for each day of the week. I briefly described what each day's post will be about down below, however, the most important thing to know is that all posts and topics discussed are interconnected, but more on that later in another post.
Mantra Monday
A mantra is a sacred word/syllable/phrase of which repetition has the ability to transform our lives.
Here I will be sharing some mantras which I believe to be of benefit to us. With them, I will give a small technique for us to use to dive deeper into the true nature of each given mantra. These sacred mantras are capable of taking us on an adventure within ourselves, to the true spirit which 'we' are. (I will touch more on this in the first Mantra Monday.)
Thoughtless Tuesday
Thoughts are tricky things to think about. They are in a way a paradox; one thought is being experienced and viewed as a thought by another thought. If that is the case, then who experiences the second thought that 'thinks' about the first? Is it an on-going chain of thoughts, or are we in truth separate from the thoughts with which we identify?
Here I will be diving into the idea of thoughts, thinking, who we are in relation to thinking, and much more.
Writing Wednesday
I began my journey of self-expression and, what I didn't know back then to be self-realisation, by writing poetry.
At first, I began writing about my daily experiences, mainly love related twists and turns of life, and as I embarked further on my journey into myself - studying ancient civilisations, ancient texts, religions, philosophies, altered states of mind through the usage of psychedelics - my style changed and the 'I', which I believed to be the true 'me', dropped. This lead me to a plethora of styles of writing and a countless amounts of hours spent writing and expressing that which I observed.
Here I will be sharing with you some of the poems of my past and talking a bit about them and how I reflect on them now. I will also be sharing new poems that I am working on at the moment.
Travel Thursday
Ever since my youth, my parents have taken me on numerous trips around the world. From Sri Lanka to Cuba, I have been to places which differ immensely to where I come from - Europe - and this opportunity to expose myself to these different cultures and people made me fall in love with the idea of travel. In July of this year, I am embarking on a solo trip to Asia for 2 months - India, Nepal & Thailand.
Here is where I am going to document my travels, share some photos and experiences, whilst also detail what I have learned along the way. As I am not currently travelling and don't do so full-time (I wish!) I will be sharing past experiences with you until I do go travelling again.
Freedom Friday
Freedom is the ultimate goal - the state of eternal paradise. As we humans interact with one another, exchanging view and ideas, thoughts and concepts, we tend to project our beliefs onto others in the form of alleged 'objective truth', which ultimately leads to us being limited by an ideology of life which we each craft ourselves; it is like living in a bubble of our own self-made limitations. Yes, everything we come up with does come from us being inspired and affected by external things, but to us, the way we see the world - fundamentally - is all that there is - it is our truth. This can lead to clashes of ideologies and ways of seeing life as we interact with one another, which creates a lot of problems in the world. The differences we all have, instead of acting as a source of eternal bliss, admiration and inspiration, act as a barrier. This barrier is what stands in the way of us and freedom.
Here I am going to dive into the topic of freedom, what it means to be free and what types of freedom there are. I will also discuss, in depth, freedom in different fields and parts of society.
Spiritual Saturday
Spirituality has been my whole life for the last few years now. But what do we truly talk about when we say spirituality?
I will be answering this in my first post.
Further posts will include me exploring different regions of spirituality, what it means to be spiritual, and ultimately, trying to share ways in which we can all embark on our own spiritual journeys.
Silent Sunday
Silence.
Namaste!
Welcome back ! I also lost some interest for Steemit, but there are many other dapps using the Steem Blockchain. I have to recommend Steempeak.com for many artists, writers and creatives. It takes a bit of time to adjust but has many more features for posting and portfolios. Will look forward to more of your poetry. In terms of spirituality: evolution and nature is , in my view, much larger than spirituality. But we're a collaborative species, and nature finds strength in this, for that is why we've been so successful. Best wishes.
Thanks! I have been looking into and exploring various dapps on the Steem Blockchain, but when it comes to blogging, I have found the original SteemIt to be my preference. I will have a look at steempeak though, perhaps my favorite will change.
I am deeply connected with and in love with nature, and think that nature and spirituality and immensely interconnected and compliment one another. Thank you for your comment! I will try to touch on the topic of evolution, which you mentioned, in one of my future posts!
Cheers.
Lukasz.
