Fill your family time with this crispy calamari, easy and you can make in advance.

My own original recipe.
Prep Time: 15 minutes / Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

10 ounces frozen or fresh calamari rings
2 to 3 eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup panko bread crumb
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
3/4 cup vegetable oil
salt to taste

Cooking Directions:

Clean calamari with water, then dry it with a paper towel. If you are using the fresh one, cut 3/4 inch, wash and dry it. Marinate with pinch of salt, garlic powder and ground black pepper. Allow it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, place flour, beaten eggs and bread crumb on a separate plate. Open the marinated calamari ring and roll it into the flour and beaten eggs, then onto the bread crumb. Do it one by one and add it to the hot oil to deep fry it until golden brown and crisp.

Drain the excess oil with a strainer or in a paper towel. Serve with thousand island or mayonnaise sauce.

I also really like the food you post.

Thank you.

Thanks for the great post! Looks delicious! When you say 'you can make in advance' how do you suggest storing them until serving? Do you make up until frying or go ahead and fry then store?

After you coat calamari in the flour, egg and bread crumb, you can freeze it, up to a few weeks or refrigerate a few hours before you fry. Please do not store it after you fry, because the calamari will taste like rubber. Thank you for passing by.

Thank you for the tips!
