My interpreation of the post election reality...
I'm not intimate with the workings of US government system.
(nor do I ever wish to be. I'd only feel very dirty if I was).
After seeing the results, and commentary and opinion from various mainstream media, it seems to me that what we have hear is a failure to see reality..
(Alt media is the mainstream media nowadays, isn't it? Does anybody care what the corpse-orate media have to say..?)
....But from my understanding about things how The Senate and The Supreme Court operate, then reality is much more like this....
(obviously much less happy and totally nuts, but you get the idea.)
IF Trump is doing what he says, and doing as the people who voted for him, want - then the only thing that has really changed, is the extra power he now has in the The Senate.
Oh dear.....
Going on that assumption, and that the draining of the swamp is the number one - the only priority....
...then Trump has just found himself in a much stronger position, than before the midterm elections....
...Or am I missing something...?

What is this "reality" that you are speaking of?
The reality is that if we had a blue wave or a red tsunami, if we lost the 50/50ish split, than half of america would become unrepresented. And when you don't (feel you) have a voice, you do desperate things.
Anyway, the constitution is for We the People. Not all of us "americans", it is for We. Notice the capitalization turning the word from a general term to a specific term.

"We the People" and their posterity own/control the govern-cement.
It has nothing to do with we the little people.
They sell our birth certificates on the stock market.
To them, we are just cattle, or poker chips.
That is reality.
I would agree it has been an allowed reality - for far too long in far too many places.
It is not an objective reality, like gravity for example.
It can be altered. And the internet has the potential to be that change agent..
