PARENTHOOD

I saw my father who's in a nursing home basically hanging in there. He is talking pretty good but sometimes repeats himself. You see my father suffers from Parkinson disease and other health problems which has taken the strength away from his legs. Caused his legs and feet to blacken then there's my mother who is having dizzy spells because of the lack of iron in her blood and she's bleeding inside in the upper area of her rib cage. It's hard to look at them this way remembering how they looked when l was a child. We didn't have the money to do fancy things but there was always food on the table , a roof , over our heads and nice clean plus warm clothes to wear.

They did the best they could with what they had. My father may not have been there sometimes but l never went hungry. Done in colored pencil on heavyweight drawing paper. Twenty two hours. One more thing my goal is to do what ever l can for them financially even if I have to work my ass off to do it and for myself and daughter also.

Very touching post my friend.

We all get old, but we all won't have kids who will be taking care of us like you take care of your parents.. I really wish them a lot of health and happiness.

Steem on, friend !
As long as you are persistent, I'm sure you'll find a way to provide for your family !

I appreciate your positive outlook at a trying time. I love your art and wish you and your family all the best!

Juan, stay strong so your parents can. Being there for our parents means a lot more than we think. It's not the money we spend that brings them the most joy but the time and love we share that does.

Thank you l will remember that.

It's so difficult to watch our parents age. The time goes way too fast.
