Good day lovely steemians, I hope you all have been fine. Today is Tuesday with the tag #marte. Our challenge for today is to narrate how our celebration of mother's day went. Today I want to share with you all how we celebrated my grandma on mother's day. It was quite a memorable day and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Mother's day is a day set aside globally to celebrate women and mothers all over the world. Over here on mother's day, we celebrated my grandma, madam Elizabeth, we call here mama . She is now very old and is about a 100 years now. The family comprising of her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren gathered for the celebration.
Foods and drinks were brought and we even got a cake for the celebration
Mama was dressed in green and red which was her favorite colour. She had to sit down through out the celebration party because she was now too old and could only stand for some seconds
The celebration started with prayers and then people were called to give free speeches and talk about mama. A lot of nice things were said about mama. I learnt quite a lot from the free speeches. A short history about her life was told. Many people wanted to say something, we could take all the speeches, we only had to take a few speeches because of time
After that mama cut her cake, then We all sang, danced and partied
Mama had a few things to say so she was allowed to speak. She told us some stories, she thanked everyone , blessed us then she prayed for us.
It was really fun and memorable. We really enjoyed ourselves
Mothers are really wonderful and loving persons, I urge you all to always celebrate women and mothers on every mother's day. It will go a long way in making them feel loved and showing them how much you appreciate them.
